~Memorial Fund~Amanda Richmond Rogers

The Richmond and Rogers Family have set up a Memorial Fund in Amanda Richmond Rogers’ name to support the work of the Alaska Solstice Search Dogs, a nonprofit organization that has been involved in the continued search for Amanda, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and sister, in Eagle River, Alaska. If you would like to donate in Amanda's name, please see bottom of page.

On December 23, 2023 Amanda and her husband, Brian, celebrated their 18th Wedding Anniversary by taking a walk with their two dogs along Eagle River. While walking next to the river, one of the dogs fell through an open lead while getting a drink of water. Amanda and Brian rushed to help the dog. Amanda went under the ice and did not resurface.

Solstice Search Dogs is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that relies on support from the Alaskan communities and donations to fund search training, certifications, search equipment , and supplies.  Donations are tax deductible.
